We did our first lesson on the series "Friends".  The kids had a great time learning about the friendship between Jonathan and David.  We talked about what being a true friend really means and the kind of friend that Jesus wants us to be. They were able to learn a few facts about the duo that they did not know.

Here are a few discussion starters for you and your kiddos.  Ask them:

  • What other choices could Jonathan have made besides being loyal to David?
  • Do you think Jonathan would have become king if he had betrayed David?
Next week, we discuss Philip and Nathaniel, 1 John 1:43 - 51.

Review this month's verse with your kiddos and help them find it in the Bible.

Proverbs 17:17  "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."

Month of February flew by.  March is now upon us.  And for me, I am looking forward to warmer weather.  The month of February the Kids Life scripture verse was from Luke 10:27.  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all  your mind"...

For March, we will be doing a series on Friends.  Our scripture verse for the month is from Proverbs 17:17 which is "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."  Please help your kiddos learn this verse as we will be learning the meaning of it through out the month.

Sunday, March 2nd, we will be discussing David and Jonathan and going through 1 Samuel chapter 20.  I have posted the lesson in the lesson section of this blog.  Please feel free to go to it and perhaps review it with your child.

The lessons for the rest of the month of March will follow weekly.

I look forward to doing this series with your kiddos.

Blessings to you all...and as always...thank you for sharing your kiddos with us!

February is the month of Valentine's Day.  A holiday that some call silly and just a greeting card money making day!  Well regardless if you think it is a waste of time and money, or if you are one of those that glow from the love of this day, the Bible has some great lessons of love, forgiveness, and praying for our enemies.  This is what our focus has been over the last few weeks.  We have so far studied Joseph and Zaccheus.  Click on the lesson section from our blog and see what your kiddos have been discussing and learning in SuperKids classes.

Our scripture verse for the month of February is Luke 10:27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Talk with your kids and see what they are remembering from Sunday Classes.

Blessings to you all...and as always...thank you for sharing your kiddos with us!

The month of January SuperKids have been doing the series "New Beginnings".  Week one we talked about Nicodemus. Week two we discussed Moses.  Week three we took a journey through the life of Peter.  Sunday the topic will be the children of Israel.  We will begin in Joshua chapter one.  The verse for the month was John 12:24.  See what your kiddos remember about each of these people!

January is almost gone!  2014 is already on it's way!  I am telling myself that I will blog more!!!!  I hope I can.  I want all the parents and families that are connected to Kids Life at Christian Life Church to subscribe to my blog.  It is very easy.  You just put your email in and when I update the blog you get it.  Very easy.  And believe me I do not blog constantly so you will not get emails galore.....

I am trying to use all social media I can to keep every one up to date on the ministry.  I have a twitter account, we have face book and we have the blog.  So, get connected with us on all social networking that you can.

We love your kiddos and we just want to partner with you on their journey to knowing CHRIST....
